I'm delighted to share your final room design and product suggestions for your living room. I've truly loved working on this project with you, and to accompany your room design, I've included some additional advice & styling tips below.

Your shopping list:

When you view the design, you'll see that I've included several alternatives for each category; click 'alternatives' to reveal these. You can then click the arrows to move the different products in and out of your shopping list; as you do this, the overall price at the bottom will update accordingly.

Please bear in mind that items can go out of stock quickly, especially during sale time, so if you really love certain things, it is best to purchase those first. Also, some items are on a longer delivery timeframe.

My hints and tips:

BRIEF:

As per the brief, I have designed your living room to be a place that you can feel proud of when hanging out with friends. It can accommodate four people as requested.

Some images express the feeling you want to have in this room and your lifestyle on your mood board.

Your colour palette has a mix of bluish greys, black and green. I chose those colours because you can find them in the Alps and I wanted to bring associations with something that you love to this room. I have included my suggestions for paint.

BUDGET:

I have mainly worked within your budget, and I have proposed to paint your existing radiator to make it look more stylish. You will see that I have included items at different price points so you can decide where to stretch your budget or save a little.

SOFA AND ACCENT CHAIR:

I have chosen a John Lewis green leather sofa which shape is very masculine but still has the softness of the buttoned cushions. The green colour is not only associated with nature but also with wealth and economic success.

I chose a dark grey accent chair which is perfect for relaxing and reading a book. I have included alternatives in different styles in case you would prefer something more imponent.

COFFEE UNIT:

I have specified a lovely range of coffee units. I focused on finding furniture with an industrial look. As a style alternative, I have also included a coffee unit with a marble top that has a very sophisticated look.

RUG:

I have specified a lovely and super soft rug in mid grey and very easy to clean. Its generous size will wrap up the sofa area beautifully.

PLANTING

I have specified planters that are big enough for the more prominent type of plants that you like.

BOOKSHELVES

I have sourced a shelving unit made in black metal with timber inlays. That material selection works very well with the type of industrial style that you prefer.

LIGHTING:

The feature wall pendants have an industrial look. The antique copper detail gives it a hinge of sophistication. I have included alternatives at different price points.

I have also sourced a practical floor lamp in case you would like to read a book on the accent chair and next to your Decorative Globe.

Even if it was not requested, I have also included some alternatives for ceiling pendants.

WINDOW DRESSING:

For your lovely bay windows, I have sourced soft green velvet curtains. Please measure the windows carefully before ordering.

ACCESSORIES & FINISHING TOUCHES:

The key to accessorising is layering, so have fun selecting all the items you like. Within the finishing touches, I have included two artworks. However, as art is such a personal item, do feel free to check out places such as Etsy or Desenio if these don't quite hit the mark, and I will add them to your list!. The sizes of the artwork shown in the pictures are 50cm x 70cm. If you are happy with them, please let me know to update your list with the correct sizes.
